Alejandra Rodriguez, DVM

Dr. Alejandra P. Rodriguez was born and raised in Puerto Rico. From a young age, she would volunteer on farms, at zoos, and veterinary clinics to work with animals. She attended the University of Puerto Rico where she earned her Bachelor of Animal Science. While at the University of Puerto Rico, she completed several summer internships. One of her favorites was working with Performance Equine Veterinary Services in Ocala, Florida, which is where she found her interest in equine medicine. Dr. Rodriguez then attended Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. During that time, she completed externships at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky and at the University of Georgia. While at the University of Georgia, she developed her focus for work in equine reproduction. Dr. Rodriguez’s professional interests include equine reproduction, internal medicine, and emergency medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, scuba diving, traveling, watching movies, and spending time with her dog Dumbo, family, and friends. Dr. Rodriguez is fluent in Spanish.
